AES & ARD Drop Off / Pick Up Procedures
AES:
- Bus students will enter through the front of the building where they get off the busses.
- Car drop off and walkers should meet at the side of AES (near playground entrance), where they will line up by grade and enter AES from the side door.
- When dropping off your child, please remain in your vehicle and our staff will assist your child getting out of the vehicle; this will allow us to move vehicles in and out of the loop more efficiently.
- AES school day begins at 8:10am and ends at 2:30pm.
- If you plan to pick up your student, please have a photo ID available, especially if you're new to our district.
- Car pick up and walkers will exit through the same doors that they entered in the morning.
ARD:
Students should not be arriving at school before 7:45 am. Please refer to page 9 of the Parent Student Handbook:
School Hours: 8:00 am – 2:22 pm
Students may be dropped off between 7:45 am – 7:55 am
Office Hours: 7:30 am – 3:30 pm
Late Bus – available Tuesdays and Thursdays
ARD Students are not to arrive on school grounds, unless arriving on a school bus, before 7:45 am. Staff is not on duty to assure students’ safety before this time. Parents of students dropped off prior to this regular supervision time will be called and requested to provide off-site before school care for their student(s). In order to ensure school community safety, students are to be dropped off on the side walk area on School Street by the senior citizens center. Please do not drive through the parking lot area between the hours of 7:40 am and 8:00 am while buses are dropping students off. When picking up students, parents are encouraged to pick up their child on the sidewalk area on School Street by the senior citizen center. Dismissal of all students will occur at 2:22 pm on a daily basis. Cars will not be permitted to cut through the parking lot area until all buses have left the school parking lot.
