Welcome back to school, Allenstown families.   It was great to meet so many of you at kindergarten orientation and both Open House BBQ’s!  We have a feeling this will be the PTO’s biggest and strongest year yet!  We’ve met so many friendly people that are excited about joining and helping us enrich our schools for our kids.  If you’d like to be one of them, please drop us a line!  You can reach us via email at AllenstownPTO@gmail.com or message us on our Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/AllenstownPTO.  If you’d like to speak to us in person, please feel free to join us for our next meeting on October 11th at 6:00 PM at AES.  Come see what we’re all about!

The PTO has just wrapped up its first fundraiser of the year with Yankee Candle.  It’s always our most popular!  If you missed it, the online sales are still available.  Please visit www.YankeeCandleFundraising.com to place an order.  Enter Group #99859574 to begin shopping. Any orders placed online will be shipped directly to your home.  Orders that were collected by students generally take 2-3 weeks to arrive at the school after the PTO has submitted them.  Like us on Facebook to be kept up-to-date on exact expected delivery dates. 

How long has it been since you had a professional family photo done?  Does your family usually have photos taken for your holiday cards?  This year you can have them done with us and benefit the Allenstown schools at the same time!  The PTO will be scheduling mini photo sessions with Greenleaf Photography, to take place in October.  The cost of each session is $20 and includes your choice of one 8x10 photo.  The date a location will be announced shortly.

Ahoy, book lovers!  AAARRRR you ready for a book fair?  The Scholastic Book-aneer Book Fair will be held in the AES library, October 31st - November 4th, with extended hours on the 4th to coincide with Parent/Teacher conferences.  Perfect timing to stock up on holiday gifts!

Speaking of the holidays… the PTO is beginning to think about our Holiday Bazaar.  The Bazaar will be held on December 3rd this year.  A planning committee meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 25th at AES at 6:00 P.M.  Join us if you’d be interested in helping out with the bazaar this year. If you’re a local vendor and would like to represent yourself at the Bazaar, please email us at AllenstownPTO@gmail.com for information on renting a space.
