Many parents have observed that the school buses have been extremely full! Unfortunately, this is not unusual during the first month of school as households settle into new routines and additional children are registered at each school. Add that to the unprecedented high enrollment at KSE, and you will understand why our buses have been so full.  

In Georgia, the law permits buses to ride with up to 20% overcapacity--shocking, but true! The good news is that the Cobb County Department of Transportation and our school Administration are working very hard to resolve our bus crowding issues, and our routes should see relief very soon. Dr. Swzec provided an updated headcount for the buses to the district on Tuesday, August 8, and the district has already added one new bus route to ease the crowding issue.

The buses aren't the only place we're experiencing growing pains.  Our carpool lane could use some attention, too.  The PTA would like to encourage people to consider carpooling to alleviate our school's carpool congestion. In fact, starting next week ask you student about our exciting new incentives for carpooling families!
