KSE
STEM Night was a success! Over 20 presenters spoke to students about STEM-related careers. In additional to traditional STEM careers like pharmacy, dentistry, and architecture, students were shown how STEM is integrated in multiple fields such as hair coloring and television production. The marquee presenter, Scaly Adventures, wowed students with hands-on animal demonstrations. Afterward, students were able to take "Scaly Snake Selfies" with some of the reptiles.
Over 250 students attended this annual free event with their families. The event was made possible in part with a generous $1,000 grant from the Vinings Rotary Club. Our sincerest thanks go out to Vinings Rotary Club for their support.
The
KSE Science Fair was also a success with over 80 entries. Judges from Keep Smyrna Beautiful, Cobb Water, and Cobb County School Science Department had the tough job of judging our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade entrants.
