KSE is so excited to announce that the first phase of our Outdoor Classroom is ready! There are 6 benches, stumps for extra seating, and a teacher whiteboard for outdoor class! This area is perfect for lessons, writing, reading, morning meeting, exploration, etc. There are 3 new raised beds that will be used for a pollinator garden. We hope to add more areas in the future. The outdoor classroom is located in the back of the building beside the bus lot.
KSE would love to THANK:
Ryan Anderson! He built and installed the benches and whiteboard cabinet as part of his Eagle Scout project. He took our ideas and made them happen! We are so thankful for his time and commitment to this project. He really did a beautiful job. He completed the project in memory of his grandfather, a former King Springs parent and grandparent.
Two grants made this phase happen – King Springs Foundation and Keep Cobb Beautiful. We are always thankful for our school and community partnership.
Joel Powell! He donated and delivered the tree stumps.
Melissa and Emily Atkins! Their help and expertise made the pollinator gardens possible.
